Stare Society started back in 2017 as a creative outlet and for helping clearing out my wardrobe. I’ve always been obsessed with nostalgia and things from the 70s.
I started buying and selling vintage on Depop for 5 years. During the dreaded 2020, I decided to open an online shop selling vintage cowboy n western wares along with jewellery and accessories.
During Covid I realised just how much I loved vintage and quirky homewares but how much I missed people! I started on a mission to find myself a brick n mortar store in Manchester that I could meet and chat to people and bond over our shared love for clothes and fashion.
Fast forward to 2022 I got the keys to our first shop. It was the most wonderful and terrifying feeling ever! But Stare Society threw open its doors and here we are!
I adore every moment of having the shop open and meeting people it’s been tough don’t get me wrong but it’s been incredible to meet people from all over the world who share the same passion for good music, good clothes and good vibes.
